Who writes Ticker Nerd's reviews and guides, how facts are checked, and what an affiliate commission can and cannot buy.

Ticker Nerd's reviews and guides are written by named people, dated, and checked against primary sources. This page says how that works.

Who writes, and who checks

Every article carries a byline and the date it was last updated. Where a page was written by a past contributor, the original byline stays — we don't re-badge old work — and a review line names who checked it and when.

Reviews of stock research services are checked by Aslam Ghouse, Ticker Nerd's founder — a CFA charterholder who spent nine years at Goldman Sachs as a systematic trader. He is responsible for every verdict published on this site.

Where the facts come from

• Prices and plans are read from the vendor's own published pricing as at the page's updated date. If a price on our page and the vendor's page disagree, the vendor's page is current and ours is due a refresh — tell us.
• Feature claims come from the vendor's documentation and from using the product where we have access.
• Performance figures are quoted only with their source and period named.

What a commission can and cannot buy

Some links on this site pay us a commission — the full mechanics are in the affiliate disclosure. Whether a service pays us has no bearing on whether it appears, where it sits in a ranking, or what the verdict says. Several services we rank highly pay us nothing.

Every page carrying an affiliate link says so above the article, and the links are flagged to search engines as paid.

Where an article compares a service with Ticker Nerd's own membership, we say so plainly. We are not neutral about our own product, and we won't pretend to be.

Corrections

If we published a wrong number, a stale price, or a claim that doesn't hold, email hello@tickernerd.com. We correct the page and refresh its updated date.
