Perpetua Resources Awarded Up to $40 Million in U.S. Army Funding to Advance Domestic Tungsten Supply for American Defense
Perpetua Resources received a new 36-month award of up to $40 million through the U.S. Army’s Defense Ordnance Technology Consortium. The funding will support work evaluating the technical and economic feasibility of producing tungsten concentrate at Idaho’s historical Stibnite Mining District.
Why it matters — The award adds a tungsten-focused program to Perpetua’s work at Stibnite, including drilling, metallurgical testing and construction of a decline into Hangar Flats.
